A big thank you to Deborah and Randy Vanderwolf for giving our staff an opportunity to help make a difference at their Favour Valley Aces Farm today in Nanaimo. Through the farm the Vanderwolfs provide educational opportunities for people to learn more about where our food comes from. Working with the Nanaimo Foodshare Society they also help to distribute produce from their gardens to local food banks and community programs to support those in need. Our team of Lynn Tetarenko, Kiefer West and Chris Waddell enjoyed putting on their gumboots and rolling up their sleeves to help with a number of projects at the farm, including the creation of some new gates and greenhouse repairs. More than 20 other community members were in attendance to lend a hand as well. Well done everyone!
