Week #2 of Make a Difference Days is complete and we are loving every minute of giving back to our communities! We felt very fortunate to be a part of Nanaimo Community Kitchen's Oktoberfest Burger and Beverage fundraiser as one of our volunteering opportunities this week. This incredible organization brings people together in a cooking class setting to learn how to make nutritious meals on a budget while creating friendships and building confidence. It was a busy event with at least 120 tickets sold and lots of silent auction prizes to bid on! Our job was to help sell tickets, give information to guests and collect payment for the silent auction prizes. The amount of time and effort put into this event by the volunteers was so inspiring and we can't wait to hear the grand total of funds raised! Our staff were also busy with many other opportunities this week and we look forward to continuing to make a difference
