Island Savings a division of First West Credit UnionCowichan Commons Insurance managers were super excited to fill up the trunk today to make another delivery to the Cowichan Valley Basket Society! Our Cowichan Commons Insurance & Banking staff have an ongoing collection display that both our staff & members contribute to regularly. It felt so good to go there this morning representing our wonderful staff & members who contributed and to meet those who donate their time to help our community, as well as meet some of our community members who were so grateful for the donations. We had lots of help bringing in all the crates of food! Here is a photo of myself & Cheala with those who agreed to be in the photo, Kiersten, who is a student working at the food bank for the summer. She spends the morning making sandwiches & the afternoon doing administration work. The other gentleman in the photo assisted us with bringing everything inside & was so very grateful. WAY TO GO TEAM COMMONS! You all should be very proud & I wish you all could have seen all the SMILES we received! Though we delivered donations, what we received back was worth more than anything! We look forward to delivering again in a month & continuing to support the full cupboard initiative in the Cowichan Valley!
