Had the pleasure of wearing my jeans to work today as part of an extra fundraising effort to support the good people at the Canadian Red Cross who are providing amazing support to the BC wildfire efforts. So proud to work for Island Savings a division of First West Credit Union for its ongoing support to our communities, children and families. In addition to directing money to the Red Cross, individuals can also direct funds to the Full Cupboard. All funds raised for the program are being processed for immediate donation to our local food banks. 100 % of your donation will go to the food bank of your choice. Food Banks BC is in close contact with the Red Cross, and our signature cause fundraising will provide support where needed most. Food banks in areas that are not impacted by the wildfires are also offering resources to their peers.
