Winning the $50,000 SimpleGenerosity grant from Envision Financial, a division of First West Credit Union will launch the Playground Replacement Project at Ladner Elementary School. Ladner Elementary’s playground is beyond it's time and the growing issues to the walk-ways and equipment needs to be addressed. We're lucky and grateful the old playground is still holding, but we must have a dedicated, age appropriate playground to inspire sprawling narratives, daring escapes and frankly a sense of risk through unstructured play. Playgrounds and unstructured play allow children the opportunity to test their physical limits, push beyond their comfort zones.
