Raghwa Gopal is an Executive in Residence (EiR) with Accelerate Okanagan. He is a serial entrepreneur who was instrumental in starting, growing and selling numerous businesses over the last 30 years, the latest being Vadim Software which sold software to municipal governments. He currently sits on the boards of numerous businesses and not-for-profit organizations. He is a certified Business and Executive Coach and has been recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year and as a Technology Innovator. He also was given an Honorary Fellow by Okanagan College for work done with business students and the community.
Raghwa volunteers for Kelowna Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and many other organizations, loves playing golf and soccer, loves traveling to different parts of the world, and tries and hibernate in Fiji during winter months.
Andrew is a Chartered Accountant with experience in a number of industries. He currently holds the role of CFO and Controller for a number of private resource companies after starting his Career in Private Enterprise and Assurance with Grant Thornton LLP.
Graduating with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Okanagan College, Andrew spent four years as a member of Students in Free Enterprise, two as president. During this time, he oversaw and participated in numerous projects focused on making a meaningful impact with individuals, non-profits and businesses throughout the community.
Senior VP, Interior Savings Credit Union
Karen Hawes is senior vice-president, people and engagement and communications for Interior Savings Credit Union, responsible for 43 multi-community locations throughout the Interior, including Kamloops, South Okanagan, Merritt and the North Thompson region, in union and non-union environments.
Karen's 25-year career in the financial industry has been in a wide range of positions ranging from administrative to lending, with a particular focus on small business. Her six year's of local Chamber board experience includes two years as president of the Kelowna Chamber, the largest Chamber in the B.C. Interior.
Senior VP, First West Credit Union
Bryan Mavrow is Senior Vice President at First West Credit Union, BC’s third largest credit union, that operates community brands across the province. Bryan leads brand management, corporate communications, community investment, and the First West Foundation. He also oversees the business intelligence group, and recently launched the First West Member Innovation Lab focused on creating good things for the credit union’s members.
Bryan is a digital pioneer with eighteen years of experience architecting customer-centred online experiences and e-commerce channels for companies including Telus, SC Johnson, Kraft, 7-Eleven and Intrawest. He believes strongly in the value of volunteerism having served as president of the BC Association of Integrated Marketers, and participated on the board of directors of the CKNW Orphans’ Fund.
Senior VP of Marketing, Prospera Credit Union
Sundeep leads a talented team focused on ensuring that Prospera Credit Union is top of mind with our members and in all of our communities. In his role as Senior Vice President of Marketing, Sundeep is responsible for identifying and developing key marketing strategies and leading a team that encompasses design, advertising and brand; research and products; customer experience insight; communications; and community and public relations. In addition to many years of experience in the field of marketing, Sundeep has owned and managed his own businesses. He earned his MBA at Queens University and holds the CFP designation. He is also an active volunteer and a sessional lecturer in the Business Faculty at the University of the Fraser Valley.
