Front of House - Gates and Information Booth

Welcome thousands of festival goers and share information with them.

You are the frontline of the Festival, welcoming families as they arrive.
**All Info and Gate Volunteers are required to attend an Orientation Session at the beginning of June.**
INFORMATION BOOTH #1 (HARMONY BRIDGE) **
Information Booth #1 is the Command Centre for the Festival. This means that all questions and emergencies, including lost kids and medical assistance, will be directed to this Booth.
Responsibilities and Tasks
• Assist in set-up of info booth and aid in clean-up of booth after your shift
• Greet visitors and Engage children and Festival participants
• You will be asked to welcome and greet patrons and provide site and show information on all aspects of the Festival, including going over maps of the Festival Site
• Answer general questions about the Festival, such as location of stages, restrooms and public telephones
• Distribute and/or give Festival Surveys to Festival goers
• Responsible for lost and found articles
• Responsible for Lost Children
• You should be friendly, committed, outgoing and responsible
TICKET SALES BOOTH **
Responsibilities and Tasks
• Work directly with Treasurer or Team Captain
• Count your float at the beginning and finish of your shift with the Treasurer or Team Captain
• Accept Tickets or Cash for entrance to the Festival
(Some care-givers will request receipts, please write one out for them)
• Money is to be handed over to one person and one person only (you will be told the name of person on event day)
• Any emergencies are to be referred to Information Booth #1
• Any lost of found articles refer to Information Booth #1
• Please take found items to Information Booth #1
• Greet visitors and Engage children and Festival participants
• Direct volunteers and performers to Volunteer Check-in booth
• Place wristbands on wrists
Shifts are Friday 8:00 - 2:30 pm & Saturday 9:00 - 4:30 pm.
