Cooking Coach
Teach clients with brain injury how to prepare simple meals.
Hours:
• 2 hours per week in BrainTrust Canada kitchen
• 1 hour per week shopping for food/supplies and menu planning
• 1 year commitment appreciated
This position can be shared with another volunteer.

Key Responsibilities
Develop classes that teach nutrition, safe food preparation, budgeting, menu planning, grocery shopping, and how to make simple, healthy meals that follow the Canada Food Guide. Clients will be taught at their own pace to be independent around meal preparation and kitchen safety.
The Cooking Coach will work with the Group Programs Coordinator to develop a program that includes:
• healthy and inexpensive menu planning (Canada Food Guide)
• shopping tips and budgeting
• meal preparation with safety
